Sometimes Em and I spend a lot of time in the rocker, trying to coax her to fall asleep. I'll sing every hymn I can remember from the children's hymn book. Sometimes I'll do Disney songs or other lullabies, but the hymns seem to work the best for us. Well, for me, really. Because a lot of times I feel frustrated that she's having difficulty sleeping. Singing hymns to her really brings the spirit into the room and I feel calmer and happier. Hymns are a tender mercy.
So today's spiritual thought is just my all-time favorite hymn, How Great Thou Art. I'd never heard this version from the Piano Guys, but like everything they do, it's incredible. Goosebumps. Enjoy.
